Bingham Lake Professional Review and Guide
"Reaching Bingham Lake requires only an hour of your time but a gallon of your sweat. Most of the route is along the mild to moderate grade of an old road with excellent views much of the way. Although short, the last section to the lake is one of the steepest climbs and even steeper descents on a maintained trail you’ll ever hope to see. Plus, you’ll have to reverse the whole process in order to get back to your vehicle. Despite this inconvenience, the lake receives a fair share of visitors, so don’t expect to be alone. The lake itself is quite scenic, occupying a steep-sided bowl beneath the 8196-foot hulk of Russian Peak, the highest summit in the Russians and a straightforward, off-trail climb from the lakeshore."
