Middle Ritchey Canyon Loop: Redwood – Spring – Ritchey Canyon Trails Professional Review and Guide
"Bothe-Napa Valley State Park lies along rugged volcanic terrain ranging from 300 to 2,000 feet, producing diverse vegetation. The northern slopes and canyons are filled with an evergreen and hardwood forest. The southern, exposed slopes are covered with chaparral and brush. Ritchey Creek flows through the heart of the state park. A network of trails follows the riparian corridor through stands of coastal redwoods and ferns. This hike climbs into the secluded middle canyon and explores a sampling of the park’s natural features. The hike continues from the lower canyon."
