McArthur–Burney Falls Memorial State Park Campgrounds Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Come to McArthur–Burney Falls Memorial State Park in the summer armed with reservations and children. You need reservations to get a campsite, and children to play with all the other kids teeming the campsites, hiking the trails, and cavorting on the beautiful beach by the marina. However, in the fall or spring, McArthur–Burney Falls offers peace and quiet. It is a premium state park with good swimming, fishing, and hiking, as well as comfortable camping with hot showers.
Around the campground you will find some good hikes—especially the popular Fall Creek Trail. This is a 1.2-mile self-guided interpretive loop that tours the creek canyon. Avoid this trail at all costs in the summer, except to access the trail that runs down the canyon to the beach on Lake Britton. At other times, this loop is astonishingly beautiful"
