The first mile of this trail, to the old barn, is on a loose gravel road. It is easy enough to walk, but noisy and loose footing. The first 1/2 mile is open with no shade. The vegetation is thick on both sides of the road, with periodic blackberry bushes. There is also abundant poison oak. The old barn is interesting, though hard to see into. Just past the barn the trail stopped in a wall of vegetation, so we were unable to go to the water tanks. This path appears to have suffered from a few years of neglect, though there was a crew in cutting weeds when we left.
