This is a lovely short hike for small legs, but don't expect views of the falls. We took our three young girls, 6 - 12, after a hard walk the day before. The trail is steep in patches, but not too long, and given the short distance you get a wide range of environments - light forest, high meadows, dry, and of course the creek. We spent an hour playing in the creek, and had a quick look over the falls - not for the faint hearted. The views are lovely out over the eastern side of the Sierras.
