The view of Mount Walt from Bridgeport and Twin Lakes is striking. It is the prominent peak on the far northwestern end of the Sawtooth Range, northwest of The Cleaver, Cleaver Peak, and Blacksmith Peak. Much of the North Ridge Ramp route can be seen from the U.S. Forest Service office on Highway 395 at the south end of Bridgeport.
