Bodega Dunes Sonoma Coast State Beach

Bodega Dunes (Sonoma Coast State Beach) Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This park of 5,000 acres runs more than 16 miles along the dramatic Sonoma coastline from Bodega Bay to just north of Jenner. At least 13 separate, isolated beaches lie within its borders, most of them reachable by trails from the highway. A visitor center is located in Jenner.

The campground is situated in an attractive pine grove behind high dunes that hide the beach. A boardwalk crosses the dunes, leading to 3-mile-long South Salmon Creek Beach. The Bodega Head Trail is a good place to watch for whales December through April. Elevation 88 feet. Stay limit 10 days June through September; 30 days October through May. Open all year."
