Midland Long-Term Visitor Area Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Midland is one of the campgrounds in the California Long-Term Visitor Area Program, established by the BLM for the benefit of campers who wish to spend all or part of the winter season in the deserts of southeastern California.

Payment of the weekly or seasonal fee entitles the visitor to camp at any of eight campgrounds in California and two in Arizona, and to move around freely among them for the duration of the permit. See page 5 for more information about this program. The Colorado River is only 15 miles away, providing an opportunity to engage in a variety of water sports."
