Silver Divide Lakes

Silver Divide Lakes Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This scenic trip travels through some lesser-known corners of John Muir Wilderness. From the wonders of the Middle Fork San Joaquin River’s canyon and backcountry hot springs, walk to a string of lakes set beneath the sharp, granite “shark’s teeth” (or perhaps “tombstones”) of the Silver Divide. The all-trail route (with one short cross-country option) stays below 10,000 feet, making it an early-season possibility—all the better to avoid seasonal crowds at Iva Bell Hot Springs!"
