Silver Canyon and the White Mountains Drive

Silver Canyon and the White Mountains Drive Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Explore California’s second-highest range while climbing to about 11,680’ on the eastern side of the 10,000-foot-deep Owens Valley. The Whites are noted for bristlecone pines more than 4,600 years old. Many travelers will find spectacular, steep and serpentine 10.4-mile Silver Canyon Road exhilarating, perhaps even frightening. Some of the best views of the Sierra are from the Whites. You can connect to Wyman Creek Road for a full tour."
