Sabrina Basin Professional Review and Guide
"Sabrina Basin holds so many beautiful and worthwhile lakes that deciding which ones to visit is often the most challenging part of the trip. With so many lakes to choose from, a healthy dose of solitude and serenity should be fairly easy to get. The lakes of the upper basin are particularly stunning, cradled in granite bowls and encircled by rugged cliffs, with the towering Sierra Crest providing a nearly constant backdrop.
Trails are usually snow-free by mid-July, but the lovely meadows of Sabrina Basin reach the height of wildflower season usually from late July through mid-August. Swimmers will find the chilly waters of the lakes the warmest during the month of August. September is a fine time for a visit, although night-
time temperatures may be cold. Snow generally arrives by late October or early November."
