Minaret Falls Campground is the prettiest in a string of beautiful, popular campgrounds on the Upper San Joaquin River west of Mammoth Mountain. When you drive down the dirt road into the campground, silvery Minaret Falls leaps out at you. Even in late September, on my last visit, the water cascaded down the mountainside like streams of crystal.
