Devils Crag #1 is the highest and most massive of the jagged line of peaks known as the Devils Crags. Charles Michael, one of the leading climbers of the day, made the first ascent of Crag #1 in July of 1913. His exceptional solo route involved difficult, exposed climbing on extremely loose rock. Jules Eichorn, Glen Dawson and John Olmstead repeated his route during their trip in July of 1930.
