Pfeiffer Ridge–Bluff Loop (long loop) Bluffs Trail–Panorama Trail–Ridge Trail Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"This long loop hike circles the western side of Andrew Molera State Park through a diverse cross-section of landscapes that include coastal bluffs, isolated beach coves, forested stream canyons, redwood forests, overlooks, meadows, and a river crossing. The trail travels across the flat marine terrace for two miles, then climbs up Pfeiffer Ridge at the south park boundary to sweeping views of the coast and mountains. The trail descends along the ridge through oak forests, massive redwood groves, and open grasslands. Throughout the hike are vistas of the Big Sur coastline. The Big Sur River flows through Andrew Molera State Park and empties into the Pacific at Molera Beach. This near-level hike parallels the east bank of the Big Sur River along the Bobcat Trail, meandering through redwood groves and lush carpets of ferns. The trail crosses small seasonal streams and loops through two meadows."
