Boronda Trail to Coast Ridge Road

Boronda Trail to Coast Ridge Road Professional Review and Guide

"The Boronda Trail is a very steep trail that climbs from Highway 1, on the cliff above the coastline, to Timber Top Camp, along the Coast Ridge Road. The primitive camp, which sits on a flat atop the ridge, has a stove, picnic benches, an old water tank, and a corral. The trail (an old ranch road) zigzags up the oceanfront cliffs to the camp and the narrow, grassy road that follows the ridgeline. En route, the trail crosses open hillsides and live-oak forests while offering magnificent, sweeping coastal vistas."

Gorgeous views and just the type of strenuous workout that I was looking for. 4 stars, because there is almost no shade on this trail.
