Delamar Mountain Trail

Big Bear Lake, California

Delamar Mountain Trail. Professional Review and Guide

"This is Big Bear at its finest, with enormous ponderosa pine trees, large flats, and meadows. You will be hiking through San Bernardino mining country, and there are old mines and prospects all over the area (though none directly by the trail). Delamar Mountain is named after a miner who worked several of the mines in the area. Many of the nearby campgrounds used to be mining encampments. The Greenlead Mine is still clearly visible to the north from the peak and the trail."
