Calico Ghost Town Regional Park

Calico Ghost Town Regional Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Calico is not much of a ghost town these days. Shops and a bar, restaurant, and other tourist attractions have revived this once prosperous and then abandoned silvermining town. Walter Knott, of Knott’s Berry Farm fame, reconstructed the town and then donated it to the County of San Bernardino.

A ride on a narrow-gauge railway and a self-guided tour of a silver mine are the main offerings. Both are inexpensive and worthwhile. Stay limit fourteen days. Open all year."
