Anza National Historic Trail - South Professional Review and Guide

"The Anza National Historic Trail follows a portion of the original route from Sonora, Mexico to Alta, CA led by Juan Bautista de Anza more than two hundred years ago. The expedition brought hundreds of settlers and more than a thousand head of livestock. This hike follows the designated southern segment of the multi-purpose hiking, biking and equestrian trail. The trail meanders along the Salinas River through riparian vegetation with stands of oaks, sycamores, cottonwoods and willows."
