Sacramento & San Joaquin Delta Professional Review and Guide
"During the last 10 years, the Sacramento and San Joaquin delta system has evolved into an amazing fishery for fly rodders. Deep within these braided waterways lies a fly fishing wonderland for the adventurous angler. An unbelievable number of cuts, sloughs, islands, and levees present a smorgasbord of angling locations. The structure and cover range from tulelined banks to grassy flats and channels and mile after mile of riprap-style rocky banks. Much of the fly fishing game is played in waters from 1 to 25 feet deep. A boat or inflatable is key to finding working game fish. Though you could walk the levees and catch fish, being mobile on the water is a definite advantage. Types of Fish: Striped and largemouth bass, king salmon, panfish."
