Bear Canyon Trail Professional Reviews and Guides
"Love the experience of hiking the Arroyo Seco to Switzer Falls but want a little more solitude and privacy? This route travels deeper along the Arroyo Seco and into Bear Canyon, leaving the crowds at Switzer Falls a distant memory as it passes ?sh-?lled pools and swimming holes. Bring your sleeping bag and boulder hop all the way to the remote Bear Canyon Campground to really get in touch with the Front Range’s canyon country."
-- Casey Schreiner , Day Hiking Los Angeles (The Mountaineers Books).
"Bear Canyon, as secluded and beautiful as any small canyon in the Front Range country, enjoys the added benefit of good trail access from two sides."
--Jerry Schad , Afoot & Afield Los Angeles County (Wilderness Press).
