Sunset Trail Professional Review and Guide
"Angel Island rises in the midst of San Francisco Bay. Although the island has an extensive military history and an old quarry, most of the land has been left to its natural beauty, featuring both land and shore species of wildlife and many wildflowers. The views from the slopes of Mount Livermore are impressive. The hike is easy, following a flat, paved (wheelchair accessible) trail to the intersection with the walking trail, where it becomes relatively strenuous. Park activities include walking, picnicking, and biking. Swimming can be hazardous because of poor water quality and treacherous currents."
