Visit Los Angeles County’s first, historic flood-control dam and the remarkable valley that surrounds it, and enjoy its beautiful riparian habitat. Hahamongna Watershed is an incredible piece of land nestled between Altadena and La Canada Flintridge. Once known as Oak Grove Park, the area is a mecca for recreation of all sorts. Baseball diamonds, a golf course, even an eighteen-hole Frisbee golf course grace the park and its environs. Specifically, the region is noted as the habitat of the endangered southwestern arroyo toad, and a massive plan to implement development in the Hahamongna Watershed had to be altered and postponed due to the creature’s presence here.
