This is a great trail that combines cool scenery with some interesting history. The trail follows an old mining track and you can see some vestiges of the mining operations along the way. The signage on the trail could be better though. The view of the lake is gorgeous and the trails have some sections with rock "pavers" that seem like something out of a fairy tale. I love the Black Hills area and this is my favorite trail there.

Three crossover - man made “bridges”’- narrow, low tunnel, some rocky levels and few steep inclines! Great for a quick hike!
