The Sycamore Rim Trail (also known as the Rim Trail), a beautiful hiking route that runs along a portion of the rim of Sycamore Canyon, offers a wonderful look at the unique ecosystems along the Mogollon Rim. Established in 1979, the Sycamore Rim Trail was originally marked by frequently placed rock cairns. In 1992, however, tread construction was completed along the entire 11-mile loop. With the exception of a couple of short stretches, the Sycamore Rim Trail is level, and several other trailheads offer convenient access throughout the loop.
