This is an easy trail that starts from Buckskinner Park in the town of Williams. It can be used for a short, easy hike as described here, or used to reach the Bill Williams Trail for a more ambitious hike. The well-defined trail heads south-southwest into a ravine and works its way to the top of a volcanic terrace. A few Douglas-fir mix with the ponderosa pine–Gambel oak forest here, but when the trail reaches the flatter terrain above, the Douglas-fir disappear.
