A hike to a rocky summit with panoramic views of the northern Chiricahua Mountains. Buena Vista is Spanish for “good view,” and that’s certainly true of this 8,700-foot peak at the north end of the Chiricahua Mountains. To the south, you can see the high peaks in the Chiricahua Wilderness, and to the southeast, the exceptionally scenic Portal area along Cave Creek.
