This easy loop takes you to a small meadow on the crest of the Chiricahua Mountains via a loop trail from Rustler Park. Start the hike on the Chiricahua Crest Trail, which climbs southwest above the campground past the Buena Vista Peak Trail. A 26,000-acre wildfire burned much of the Chiricahua high country in 1997; this loop alternates between the cool shady depths of the fir, aspen, and pine forest and the surreal forest of sticks left by the fire.
