This scenic graded road crosses through the Poachie Range between Signal Road and US 93. The trail passes very close to the site of Greenwood City. There are some stone foundations, but little is left of this once-thriving town. Much of the trail runs along the ridge tops, giving excellent views over the Arrastra Mountains Wilderness and the Big Sandy River Valley. The vegetation is a diverse combination of ocotillo, yucca, and cholla mixed with small juniper trees. Special Attractions: Easy trail that passes through spectacular desert scenery; Hiking access to the Arrastra Mountains Wilderness; Greenwood City town site. High-clearance vehicles are preferred, but not necessary. This trail is dirt roads, but may have rocks, grades, water crossings, or ruts that make clearance a concern in a normal passenger vehicle. The trail is fairly wide, so that passing is possible at almost any point along the trail. Mud is not a concern under normal weather conditions.
