Wickenburg Mountains

Wickenburg Mountains Professional Review and Guide

"Visit the well-marked grave of Isaac Bradshaw, namesake of the Bradshaw Mountains. Great mountain views in a truly remote setting. Trail ends at historic Copperopolis Townsite. Numerous other mines along the route. For in-depth mining history and memorabilia, visit the museum in Wickenburg.

The fun begins when you turn left off Buckhorn Road into a deep wash. This turn is very easy to miss, so follow directions carefully. A mostly rocky, sometimes sandy road climbs and descends a series of scenic mountain ridges with the steepest spot coming at 7.1 miles. Bradshaw’s Grave is surrounded by a white picket fence and is hard to miss. Annie May White’s Grave at Copperopolis Townsite is a short hike from the trail and takes a few minutes to find. Mining memorabilia has been removed from the UFO Mine as part of an extensive reclamation project."
