Vulture Peak is a distinctive landmark southwest of Wickenburg, noted for its domelike summit and steep, east-facing cliffs. This trail leads through the gorgeous Sonoran Desert foothills on the west side of the mountain and up to Vulture Saddle. A short scramble leads to the summit, where you’ll have views of the surrounding Vulture Mountains, as well as the distant Harquahala, Hieroglyphic, Bradshaw, Big Horn, and Eagletail Mountains. It’s an unforgettable vista of the open desert north and west of Phoenix.
