This is a great trail, many great views from the canyons. The White Tanks are very rugged moutnains. I did this as a quick overnight backpacking trip. I wanted to camp out above the city and view the lights at night. What a great view from the top! I camped at just over 3100 feet just below the towers... so there was great views of the city. Would recommend this hike if you like a good desert climb. enjoy!

The goat trail is a winding trail up into the backcountry with just an amazing view of the whole area. Willow canyon is a shorter trail yet breath taking for desert scenery. Walk along 50 ft wide 20 ft deep washes and mountain sides. This would not lead you out only to the heart of the white tanks unless you backtracked 10 miles. Make sure you have a map of all the trails so you know which trail you will take back to your vehicle. There is hardly any water year round. Enjoy this fun and fairly easy hike but dont forget plenty of water it's the desert.
