A hike to a historic mining district in Grand Canyon National Park. This a strenuous hike and the short distance is deceiving; the trail descends 2,400 feet. You will have to climb this distance on the way out. The Grandview Trail is well named, as it features an expansive view right from its start at the east side of the stone wall at the viewpoint. A series of switchbacks leads through the cliffs of the Kaibab limestone and out onto the steep slopes of the Toroweap formation.
