The Mica Mountain Complex

The Mica Mountain Complex Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"A network of trails atop Mica Mountain, accessible after a full day of backpacking.

This network of well-maintained trails provides a spectrum of loop hikes atop the highest peak in the Rincon Mountains. The shortest access route is via the Turkey Creek Trail. The Douglas Spring, Tanque Verde Ridge, and Heartbreak Ridge Trails provide longer but more scenic routes. All these trails are sufficiently long to ensure that travelers who visit the Mica Mountain complex will have to plan an overnight trip.

Trails included in this guide are: Fire Loop Trail, Mica Mountain Trail, Spud Rock Trail, Mica Meadow Trail, Bonita Trail, North Slope Trail, Cow Head Saddle Trail, Devil’s Bathtub Trail, Heartbreak Ridge Trail, East Slope Trail, Switchback Trail, and Deer Head Spring Trail."
