This is the longest trail in the Tucson Mountain (West) District of Saguaro National Park. Much of the beginning of the route involves hiking up shallow steps, but once you reach the long ridge, superb views unfold in all directions. The trail is clear, and it’s almost impossible to get lost. Wasson Peak is the highest peak in the Tucson Mountains. The unpaved access loop closes at sunset, so don’t get caught! This is a hikers-only trail.
