Saguaro National Park Professional Review and Guide
"Unlike many of the parks we’ve visited up to now, Saguaro doesn’t overwhelm you with its magnificence. Instead, you’ll learn to appreciate the great variety of vegetation and landforms that exist in the desert and see a special sort of beauty that can’t be found anywhere else. Divided into two separate sections, Saguaro is a classic Sonoran desert environment. The famous cactus that gives the park its name grows only in southern Arizona and in the neighboring Mexican state of Sonora. But you’ll see much more than the saguaro, for this relatively small national park has a great variety of desert vegetation as well as some gentle mountain scenery."
