A day hike along Sabino Canyon to Hutch’s Pool. This hike is extremely popular, and the trail can be quite crowded during summer and on weekends. After the path crosses a high spur, the landscape takes on a gentler aspect. Here, travelers will encounter a new assemblage of plants. Arid grasslands integrate the cactus scrub. The result is startling—giant saguaros can be found beside evergreen oaks. The trailhead can be reached by walking or by shuttle bus.
