Gardner Canyon Professional Review and Guide
"Many side roads in the area to explore—some are difficult. Visit historic Kentucky Camp. Popular ATV area. Stay on marked roads. Mostly easy except for one rocky hill. Suitable for high clearance stock SUVs. Can be muddy when wet."
--Charles A. Wells, Guide to Arizona Backroads & 4-Wheel Drive Trails (FunTreks).
Fun, easy drive. I have a lifted TJ Wrangler however there is nothing on this trail that a stock SUV can't handle. Lots of good scenery, light traffic and a lot of livestock around the trail. This route may leave you wishing for more if you're out for a challenging, technical drive. We drove all of 4085 which took about 3-3.5 hours. Good times.
Really Nice afternoon ride, lots of wildlife out. Trail was in good shape and not very many people.
Very nice riding! Trails are secondary roads, so they are nice and wide to travel on. There are a lot of rocks on some hills making it fun to navigate around. I would go ride there again!!!
SHORT EASY DRIVE. GREAT SCENERY. EXPECT TO SEE A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE. FIRE DANGER VERY HIGH.
Drove Forest Roads 92 and 4085. Easy to Moderate difficulty. Scenery varied from grasslands to juniper pines. There was still some running water in the wash. Temperature was in the mid 80's. The trails as the get closer to Florida Point and Mount Wrightson Wilderness areas have been closed due to the Florida Fire this summer. Overall a very nice trip. Will be doing this area again.
