This newly renovated trail goes around the convoluted slopes of Picket post Mountain, climbing up and through Alamo Canyon, and then over and down into Telegraph canyon. A perfect hike for showing the desert to children and other lesser hikers, without the crowds of more urban hikes, or the need to mount a real expedition. This hike is a part of Arizona Trail (AZT), which runs from Utah to Mexico, and Grand Enchantment Trail, which winds from Phoenix to Albuquerque.
