South Fork Little Colorado Trail 97 Professional Review and Guide
"You and your dog are exploring this area along a narrow footpath that is a very comfortable compacted forest floor almost the entire way. The trail never winds far from the banks of the river, and there are many places where your dog can cool her pads; remember to purify any water you take to drink. The path takes you upstream and uphill, initially in shade, on a very gentle grade. A meadow pours out of the forest at 0.5 mile, and for a time you and your dog are traversing a sunny expanse of grasses and wildflowers. You duck under shade again soon enough, and at 1 mile pass a tiny spring to the right of the trail, tucked under a shelf of land."
