Holbert Trail Professional Reviews and Guides

"This short hike offers visual variety to visitors seeking an alternative to South Mountain’s main corridor trails. Along the hike, visit Hohokam petroglyphs, which were carved into the boulders; gaze on a perfectly framed view of the Phoenix skyline; and enjoy the steady moderate incline for a great workout.

Make your way from the almost ridiculously large parking area between the Activity Complex and Environmental Education Center to the Holbert Trailhead, which is near the restrooms and picnic area. Hike south on a level trail toward Box Canyon and the rugged mountains."
