The Thomas Point Trail is a steep climb via vertical switchbacks up Oak Creek Canyon's eastern wall. The trail ascends through a spruce and pine tree forest. There are various views across Oak Creek Canyon to the cliffs of the West Fork and East Pocket. This hike reaches the top of the Mogollon Rim to a lookout point. From the lookout are views north, towards Flagstaff, of the majestic 13,000-foot San Francisco Peaks. To the south, towards Sedona, are views of the red rock walls of Oak Creek Canyon.
