If you are looking for a great drive but don’t have much time, try this short route. The red rock beauty of the area is quite stunning and includes two interesting features: the stair-stepped Seven Apache Pools and the unusual Devil’s Kitchen. Challenges are exciting without being overwhelming. If you’ve been itching to try a difficult trail, this may be your best opportunity. The trail is on the edge of Sedona immediately adjacent to a beautiful residential area. It’s also a very popular hiking area, so drive slowly and don’t spin your tires. In short, be a good neighbor. If you park, hike, or stop along the route, you’ll need a Red Rocks Pass. Many steep, rocky steps; however, articulation demands are minimal. Many stock high-clearance vehicles can make it.

Did the trail in a stock H3. Trail was hard packed and dry. Great views and close to town. Coffee was still warm at the end.

Gave it three stars due to being short in the length. Best time to catch the seven sacred pools is after a good rain. Makes for a good waterfall. Just watch out for pink jeeps there aren't very pull outs to pass.

Ran this trail before the fires. It was beautiful, but very very short. The 7 holes are worth stopping at. Good for a quick afternoon run. Ran it in 2WD, open diffs, 32x11.50 Dunlop Mud-Rovers aired down to 20psi. Rock sliders and skidplates are recommended for lower clearance vehicles, but it is doable in a stock truck with low tire pressures.

Great short trail, gets upclose to"Red Rocks"... easy acces to hiking trails. Rated difficult but with a lift and low tire pressure it is not all that difficult.
