This is an exceptionally fine hike up the longest canyon in the Red Rock–Secret Mountain Wilderness. Its length keeps the crowds away. Secret Canyon is the longest and most remote canyon in the Dry Creek basin, and it is nearly as long as its more famous neighbor, Oak Creek. It also has permanent water in the upper section, a rarity in the red-rock area.
