Secret Canyon Professional Review and Guide
"The hike into Secret Canyon is an easy route to a beautiful box canyon shaded by ponderosa pine and oak trees. The trail crosses Dry Creek three times towards the headwater. Along the canyon ridge are views of the surrounding formations. In the canyon are colorful red rock formations on the right and the sheer fortress wall of Secret Mountain on the left."

Great hike! Do not let the access road deter you. It is worth it. Beautiful views. Good hike with your dog.
This was a really neat trail through the "Little Grand Canyon" near Sedona, AZ.
Please make sure to pay attention to where the trail head is. The road leading to the trail head is pretty rough and my friend and I turned off early because we thought we were in the right place and the road was rough. We weren't and ended up wandering through the Dry Creek bed for about four miles before finally coming to the Secret Canyon trail head. Once there the trip was fairly easy and towards the end offered great views towards the south of the canyon and the red rock faces.
Definitely recommended for a day hike!
