There are several trails leading to Chicken Point. This hike follows the Little House Trail beginning at the Chapel of the Holy Cross. Along the way, the trail winds around Twin Buttes, passing the impressive red rock formations of Church Spires, Madonna, and The Nuns. From the smooth ledges of Chicken Point are world-class views in every directions. To the north is Submarine Rock, Marg's Draw and the multicolored Crimson Cliffs. To the southeast is the forested Briant Canyon. To the south is Courthouse Butte and Bell Rock, while Cathedral Rock rises high in the west.

One of the more beautiful views that you will see in all of Arizona when sitting (or perching) on Chicken Point at the end of the short trail. You are surrouned by beautiful red rock and have an ocean of pine trees below. What a beautiful place to sit and have a moment with a loved one or just experiencing it with a friend. The only disadvantage to the trail is that it is a common stopping point for the Pink Jeep tours (which tells you what a beautiful place it is) so it is a busy area at times, especially mid-day.
