Brins Mesa from Uptown Sedona Professional Review and Guide
"There are two Brins Mesa trailheads. This one begins from the east near Uptown Sedona. The other trailhead begins from the west in the Dry Creek area. Our hike climbs northwest to the mesa top. The views along the trail, as well as atop the mesa, are breathtaking. This area offers views of the surrounding mountains and red rock formations in every direction. The town of Sedona is also in full view 800 feet below."

As others have said...you get some great views of the red rock formations and Sedona. The trail has some rocky spots so don't do as I did and get lost staring at the scenery and still trying to keep a quick pace. I ended up with a turned ankle 3 miles into it.
Fun trail! Trails are somewhat rocky, but not too hard on the feet. The beginning part is pretty easy, but the last half mile to the top of the mesa is pretty steep. Great views throughout the trail, particularly at the top. The sage, panther, and monkey enjoyed it, even though we had to often wait for hippo.
Good trail. The grade is easy and you are surrounded by huge red rocks. When you get to the top of the mesa, take a right for 5-10 minutes and you will be rewarded with great views of Sedona.
Good trail with really good views. The last half mile is tough, but the views from the top are worth the effort.
