This is a good trail to the west rim of Oak Creek Canyon, in the Red Rock–Secret Mountain Wilderness. It offers the best views of Oak Creek Canyon from any of the rim trails. The AB Young Trail was originally built to move cattle to and from the rim country. Walk through the campground and cross Oak Creek. Turn left (south) on the trail that parallels the creek, and watch for the AB Young Trail, a good, maintained trail that turns sharply right and starts climbing to the northwest.
