Salado Warm Springs Professional Review and Guide
"A series of warm springs forming several large pools, flowing out over a broad marsh. The Salado Warm Springs are located in cattle-grazing country, and the water they provide forms an oasis. Within the reeds, and immediately below a cliff of travertine lie the springs themselves. The cliff behind the springs is composed entirely of travertine, indicating that these springs have been at this location for thousands of years. The springs offer little in the way of bathing, as they have not been improved or diverted. The warm pools are nevertheless large, and obviously put out a substantial volume of water. The warm springs are in a primitive setting and have not been improved for bathing purposes."
