    Palm Canyon Road

    Palm Canyon Road Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This graded gravel road provides access to Palm Canyon, from where a short hike leads to views over what is possibly the only community of native palms in Arizona. The trail itself is suitable for passenger vehicles, and it is possible to park overnight at the hiking trailhead at the end of the road.

This area has sweeping views west over the La Posa Plain to the Trigo Mountains and Chocolate Mountains and is especially lovely at sunset. There are no facilities or picnic tables at the trailhead. Special Attractions: Scenic Kofa Queen Canyon and the remains of the Kofa Queen Mine; Views of La Posa Plain; Easy winding trail that travels up a wash. This trail is graded dirt but suitable for a normal passenger vehicle. It usually has gentle grades, is fairly wide, and has very shallow water crossings (if any)."
