Trails are easier at the northern end of Rolls OHV Area and are better suited for kids and novice riders. Route-finding is relatively simple compared to the complex network of trails farther south. You can also start at the Pobrecito Staging Area off Bush Highway and head north on F.S. 13. To ride all day on easy trails, head east into the mountains on F.S. 143. Trail heads southwest and drops into a wide, sandy wash, then turns east on F.S. 13, one of the most popular routes in the Rolls OHV Area. This trail is just the right width for ATVs and has lots of hills and tight curves. You’ll often see guided ATV tours on this trail. You’ll leave F.S.13 at Waypoint 04 and head north on easier 1343. It connects to F.S. 401, which connects to F.S. 143. You can return to staging area on 143, or extend the trip by turning south on 1832 and looping back on 1863, in the opposite direction you rode it earlier.
